Three Seconds - the poster!
hahahaha! yes, i was bored, so I made a 'poster' or 'cover' or whatever else you want to call it for it. It was pretty interesting how I made it, I drew a backdrop, then I drew the people, and then i scanned it, then photoshopped it... overlapping the people and the background, i coloured the thing on photoshop, and then to make it look like people are 'walking' i blurred them. which makes my task a lot easier, because i don't actually have to make the people look good, since they're going to a big blob anyway haha! so here it is!

Captain's Log: Day 43
Finally! I'm done exams and I have time to update my blog once again! :)
alrighty, well... i don't have much to say, i'm currently still writing the second mini story of my story, 'three seconds'... so that will be later, but i just felt like sharing a bit of my... lol! er... artsyness? so yeah, check this out ;)

so this one is done on photoshop, the background and whatever I painted it on photoshop myself! :) then the person... well you might recognize it as I've previously put it up on this blog... you know, when i put up pictures of all those drawings on my wall... well that's one of them! I like the sunset
the second one is a little manipulation... i guess you could call it that. So what happens when you put these to pictures together?:

What you get is.... THIS!:

You end up having TWINS! hahaha! oh... i make myself laugh.
This is also done on photoshop, darn... i love that program!
alright, well that's about it for today! :)

Captain's Log: Day 42
Love At First Sight
Wislawa Szymborska
They're both convinced
that a sudden passion joined them.
Such certainty is beautiful,
but uncertainty is more beautiful still.
Since they'd never met before, they're sure
that there'd be nothing between them.
But what's the word from the streets, staircases, hallways --
perhaps they've passed by each other a million times?
I want to ask them
if they don't remember --
a moment face to face
in some revolving door?
perhaps a "sorry" muttered in a crowd?
a curt "wrong number" caught in the receiver --
but I know the answer.
No, they don't remember.
They'd be amazed to hear
that Chance had been toying with them
now for years.
Not quite ready yet
to become their Destiny.
It pushed them close, drove them apart,
it barred their path,
stifling a laugh,
and then leaped aside.
There were signs and signals,
even if they couldn't read them yet.
Perhaps three years ago
or just last Tuesday
a certain leaf fluttered
from one shoulder to another?
Something was dropped and then picked up.
Who knows, maybe the ball that vanished
into childhood's thicket.
There were doorknobs and doorbells
where one touch had covered another
beforehand.
Suitcases checked and side by side.
One night, perhaps the same dream,
grown hazy by morning.
Every beginning
is only a sequel, after all,
and the book of events
is always open halfway through.

Captain's Log: Day 41
I recently looked up Pocahontas on Youtube, for no particular reason... and came across this song, Colors of the Wind... It's a really nice song... it really is.
It's a shame that Disney stopped making musical like movies, I liked them. And I personally liked the old Disney movies more than the new ones, there are several that are good, but most of them aren't really that great. Though I do have to admit that some of the older Disney movies aren't fantastic either. Bambi, i found was a bit on the boring side, BUT it was a very 'pretty' movie, if i could put it that way... but i did like it a lot when i was a kid. Of course, when i grew up and watched it again, expecting it to be as good as i remember it to be, i was very much disappointed... Oh well... people change, right? well anyway, i just thought I'd attach the clip here for your enjoyment... it really is a nice song.

Captain's Log: Day 38
Ok, i know, I start lots of stuff, and then it seems like i never go along with it. But no no, i just didn't have much time recently... but i'm back with my 'project'... Montreal, through my lens:
There was this big snowstorm a week ago, and i took pictures, but i never got a chance to upload them... so here they are, and along with those are some pictures i took at various places in the city:
Montreal Snowstorm:

1) where did my stairs disappear to!?
2) the tree... and the distant lights
3) my snow covered street
4) hmm.. is that snow or is that fog?
5) and that's only after 2 hours of snow!
Montreal, the city pictures:
Lionel-Groulx Metro Station:

Outside of Square-Victoria Metro Station: (notice the Parisian style entrance)

Champs-De-Mars (it was such a beautiful day! Look at the blue sky!):

McGill University (parts of it anyway, and check out that deadly icicle! compare it to the people!):

Captain's Log: Day 36
Kind of bored of studying thermodynamics... so while Dr. Barrett is explaining his question, I've decided to post up these pictures! Well... it's actually pictures of drawings hehe! Drawings that I've stuck on my wall... drawings that i've done, instead of doing something called studying...
btw, just in case you're wondering, there's one that says BIOL200... it's a course (Molecular Biology) I don't especially like that course, I just so happen to be studying for that midterm, and i was recopying my notes on recycle paper, and i got bored, so i started doodling on top of it, if you look closely enough you'll see that the in the background, there are lots of tiny words, explaining something about PCR or something like that!
